Dakota Land Works is a family owned land maintenance company that specializes in tree/brush mulching, soil conditioning/grading, gravel restoration, stump grinding, and a variety of other land maintenance services. We are based out of Cavalier, ND and provide service primarily in NE North Dakota and NW Minnesota.
We operate a Caterpillar 299D3XE compact track loader with a drum mulching attachment, skeleton grapple, soil conditioner, tree puller, and a Toro stump grinder. With our skid steer, attachments, and stump grinder, we offer the comprehensive solutions to meet your land clearing needs!

Meet The Owner
Brady Laxdal, owner of Dakota Land Works, grew up in rural Gardar, ND and graduated from Mayville State University with a teaching degree. Besides teaching high school social studies, PE, and coaching football, Brady has worked a variety of seasonal jobs over the years, including farming and working for a crop consultant for 12 years. When Brady is not in the skid steer you will find him hanging out with his wife and four little girls or creating custom furniture including epoxy river tables using live edge wood slabs. He and his wife, Kristen, cherish the small town values that they grew up with and hope to serve their community and region for years to come. Brady is excited to serve the community and make sure his customers are completely satisfied.
